Notifications are just what you think they might be - alerts letting you know another user has taken some kind of action pertaining to you on the site. Some examples of notifications include when someone:
- Comments on your post.
- Likes your post.
- Likes your review.
- Gives you a hug.
- Mentions you.
- Answered your question.
When you sign in, click the menu icon in the top right corner of the page to view the slide out menu. The Notifications section will show how many notifications you have, and provide links to the most recent 5:
If you do not have any new notifications, you can visit your notifications by clicking the menu icon in the upper right (next to your profile photo) and going to Notifications.
When in your notifications, they will be listed chronologically, with the most recent being on top.
- Any unread notifications will be in grey. Clicking on the notification will take you to that activity.
- Hovering over the link for 'others' will show you all the users who have interacted with that activity.
- Clicking on a user name will take you to their profile.
- Selecting view all will take you to a list of everyone who has contributed to that activity.
If you would like to go to the member's profile who most recently commented or liked your content, just click on their user photo to the left.
